Chapter 294 You've contracted AIDS
Chapter 294 You've contracted AIDS
Su Yingxue stood up, looking at the home that had once brought her warmth with a complex expression. She gently shook her head, turned and walked towards the door, a resolute look in her eyes. She knew she no longer belonged here.
Just as Su Yingxue stepped out of the Su family's gate, her phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the caller ID; it was a hospital number. She answered the phone, and the other person said, "Ms. Su, your medical report is ready. Please come to the hospital sometime."
Su Yingxue sighed dejectedly and replied coldly, "I don't have time. Let's talk another day."
The doctor on the other end of the phone became serious: "Ms. Su, your condition is somewhat special. It would be best if you came as soon as possible. This is very important."
Su Yingxue's heart tightened, and she felt a vague unease. She was silent for a moment, and finally said, "Okay, I'll be right there."
Su Yingxue drove to the hospital with a heavy heart. She was dressed in designer clothes and wore sunglasses, trying to hide her emotions. However, her demeanor still attracted the attention of passersby, and whispers could be heard everywhere.
"Look at that woman, she's dressed so elegantly, I wonder if she's faking illness."
"It might be a celebrity, but they seem to be in a bad mood."
Ignoring the gossip, Su Yingxue went straight to the doctor's office. She pushed open the door and asked coldly, "Doctor, what's wrong with my medical report?"
The doctor looked up and asked earnestly, "Are you Ms. Su Yingqing?"
Su Yingxue nodded, and the doctor opened the documents on the table and found her medical examination form.
After a moment of silence, the doctor asked directly, "Ms. Su, have you had any unprotected sexual activity recently?"
Su Yingxue's face turned pale instantly, and she coldly replied, "Doctor, this is none of your business."
The doctor sighed and, without beating around the bush, said directly, "Ms. Su, your medical report shows that you are infected with HIV, which is AIDS."
Su Yingxue was struck dumb, and the sunglasses in her hand fell to the ground with a "clatter." Her eyes widened in disbelief as she asked, "What did you say? What disease do I have?"
The doctor said in a deep voice, "Ms. Su, you have been diagnosed with HIV. This is a fact, and you need to receive treatment as soon as possible."
Su Yingxue's vision went black, she felt dizzy, and then she fainted.
The doctor hurriedly called her name, trying to wake her: "Miss Su! Miss Su!"
When Su Yingqing woke up again, it was the next morning. Lying in her hospital bed, she looked around and found herself in a regular ward with about a dozen other patients. She sat up abruptly, the terrifying diagnosis flashing through her mind—AIDS. Fear filled her; if word got out, she would not only be disgraced, but might even die.
"No! I can't let anyone know! I have to get out of here right now!" she thought to herself.
At this moment, the nurse came over, saw that she was awake, and said softly, "Su Yingqing, you're awake."
Upon seeing the nurse, Su Yingqing quickly got out of bed, put on her high heels, and ran out of the ward without a second thought. She ran faster and faster, trying to convince herself, "I'm not sick, I don't have any illness at all, you must be lying to me!"
The nurse chased after her, shouting, "Su Yingqing, you're sick, you need treatment!"
……
Su Yingxue had just seen Tan Zhengchu off when her phone rang. She glanced at the unfamiliar number and answered with some confusion, "Hello?"
"Yingxue, it's me, Tan Zhengmo." A deep and familiar voice came from the other end of the phone.
Su Yingxue was stunned for a moment, then realized: "Tan Zhengmo? Why did you change your number?"
Tan Zhengmo was silent for a moment on the other end of the phone, then said softly, "I just returned to China and changed my number. Zhengchu told me you're getting married?"
Su Yingxue's heart skipped a beat, and she said half-jokingly, "Yes, are you here to congratulate me?"
Tan Zhengmo's voice was somewhat downcast: "Congratulations, I will attend the wedding. However, I would like to see you."
Su Yingxue was slightly startled, but quickly regained her composure. She guessed that Tan Zhengchu might not have invited Tan Zhengmo, given their strained relationship. However, she wasn't averse to Tan Zhengmo's arrival; in fact, she thought it was a good thing. Tan Zhengmo's presence might make Tan Zhengchu cherish her more.
Tan Zhengmo sighed on the other end of the phone. He hadn't wanted to attend the wedding; he was heartbroken. But in the end, he couldn't resist wanting to see Su Yingxue, even if it was just a glimpse from afar.
“Okay, where would you like to meet?” Su Yingxue readily agreed.
Tan Zhengmo was silent for a moment, then sent a location message: "This shop is nice, I'll wait for you."
Su Yingxue glanced at the location and found it was a well-known old restaurant – "Old Street Hot Pot". A slight smile played on her lips; she had wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time, but had never had the chance. She changed into a simple dress, put on sunglasses, and went out.
Unbeknownst to her, the moment she stepped out the door, a black luxury car quietly followed behind her.
When Su Yingxue arrived at the hot pot restaurant, she found it packed with people and cars. She finally found a parking space, parked her car, took out her phone, and sent a message to Tan Zhengchu: "Zhengchu, I won't be having lunch with you. I have something to take care of."
Tan Zhengchu was in a meeting when he saw Su Yingxue's message and a slight smile appeared on his lips. He replied, "See you tonight!"
Su Yingxue looked at her phone screen, feeling a pang of guilt. She knew Tan Zhengchu cared for her deeply, but he had been incredibly busy lately. She hesitated for a moment, then decided not to tell him she had met Tan Zhengmo. After all, she and Tan Zhengmo were just friends; there was no need to worry him.
Sitting in the car, Su Yingxue stared at the bustling sign of the hot pot restaurant, lost in thought for a long time. She was torn, hesitating whether to tell Tan Zhengchu about her meeting with Tan Zhengmo.
"If I tell him, will he be jealous? After all, his relationship with Tan Zhengmo is so complicated." She thought to herself, her fingers unconsciously stroking the phone screen.
But soon, she comforted herself: "Tan Zhengmo and I are just friends. He just wants to see me. Zhengchu is a magnanimous person. He should understand."
However, reason told her that Tan Zhengchu had an extremely strong personality, and what he couldn't stand most was her having too much contact with other men. She worried that being honest would cause unnecessary misunderstandings and arguments.
Finally, Su Yingxue took a deep breath and put her phone back in her bag. She decided not to tell Tan Zhengchu about it.
She believes that as long as you act uprightly and sit honestly, there is nothing to be afraid of.
Her relationship with Tan Zhengmo was purely platonic, nothing more.
