Chapter 188 Useless, can't even handle a woman
"Haoyu, Ziqing, come here." Grandpa Tan waved to them, his voice loud and strong.
Tan Haoyu led Zhu Ziqing over and respectfully greeted her, "Grandpa."
"Hello, Grandpa," Zhu Ziqing greeted softly, a polite smile on her face.
Grandpa Tan's gaze fell on Zhu Ziqing, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his kind smile: "Ziqing, right? Haoyu has good taste, finding such a beautiful girl."
Zhu Ziqing was stunned for a moment, thinking she had misread it, and quickly lowered her head: "Thank you for the compliment, Grandpa."
Grandpa Tan smiled and patted Tan Haoyu on the shoulder: "Treat him well, don't let me down."
"Don't worry, Grandpa, I will." Tan Haoyu's tone was firm, and his eyes revealed an undeniable seriousness.
Just then, Uncle Liu walked over, holding a glass of red wine, beaming with joy: "Haoyu, Ziqing, congratulations!"
"Uncle Liu," Tan Haoyu nodded politely.
"Ziqing is so beautiful, she and Haoyu are a perfect match," Uncle Liu praised with a smile. "Wishing you a long and happy marriage, and many children to come!"
Zhu Ziqing blushed and lowered her head shyly, saying, "Thank you, Uncle Liu."
Tan Haoyu smiled slightly and politely replied, "Thank you for your kind words."
The atmosphere at the party grew increasingly lively. Standing in the crowd, Zhu Ziqing was filled with mixed emotions. She looked around and noticed that all of Tan's relatives were elegant and well-mannered. Not one of them asked about her background or occupation, as if none of that mattered.
"The atmosphere in the Tan family is really nice; everyone is so well-mannered," Zhu Ziqing said softly to Tan Haoyu.
"What? This is different from the parties you've attended before?" Tan Haoyu asked, raising an eyebrow.
Zhu Ziqing nodded, a hint of reminiscence flashing in her eyes: "Three years ago, Zhu Shigou took me to a cocktail party. At that time, I didn't know anything and stood in the crowd like an outsider. I was so embarrassed that I wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into."
Tan Haoyu squeezed her hand and said gently, "I'll be here for you from now on, and I won't make you feel embarrassed anymore."
Zhu Ziqing looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude: "Haoyu, thank you. You gave me support and warmth during my most difficult time. Meeting you is the greatest luck of my life."
Tan Haoyu curled the corners of his lips, his gaze deep: "Fool, I should say I'm lucky."
Zhu Ziqing smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. She knew she had finally found her own happiness.
The music at the party gradually softened, and the stars in the night sky seemed to be blessing the couple.
Zhu Ziqing leaned on Tan Haoyu's shoulder, her heart filled with anticipation for the future.
"Haoyu, we'll be happy like this forever, right?" she asked softly.
"Of course." Tan Haoyu lowered his head and kissed her forehead, his tone firm yet gentle. "I will always be by your side, forever."
The party was dimly lit and filled with melodious music. Zhu Ziqing stood beside Tan Haoyu, a happy smile on her face. She gently tugged at Tan Haoyu's sleeve and whispered, "Haoyu, I'm so happy today."
Tan Haoyu looked down at her, his eyes full of tenderness. He reached out and stroked her forehead, asking softly, "Are you tired?"
Zhu Ziqing shook her head, a blush rising on her face: "I'm not tired, it just feels...like a dream."
Tan Haoyu smiled and leaned down to give her a gentle kiss on the forehead: "Then enjoy this dream."
Zhu Ziqing blushed even more, and shyly lowered her head, but her heart felt as sweet as if it had been filled with honey.
"Come on, I'll take you somewhere." Tan Haoyu suddenly took her hand, his tone tinged with mystery.
"Where are we going?" Zhu Ziqing looked up at him with some confusion.
"Just follow me." Tan Haoyu smiled slightly, his eyes revealing an unwavering determination.
Zhu Ziqing nodded, letting him lead her away from the party. Her heart was filled with anticipation, as if wherever they went, having him by her side would be enough.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere at the Wan family's home was completely different.
Inside the Wan family's villa, dark clouds loomed.
Wan Shixiong sat in his study, his face ashen, as he slammed the teacup in his hand to the ground, shattering it into pieces.
"Wan Qingsha! Get in here!" Wan Shixiong roared, his voice shaking the entire room.
Wan Qingsha pushed open the door and entered, his face showing a hint of weariness, but he still bowed his head respectfully: "Father."
"How dare you call me father?" Wan Shixiong stood up abruptly, pointing his finger at him and cursing, "Look at the mess you've made! Wan's stock price has plummeted, and the relevant departments have begun investigating us! All because you offended Jack Tan!"
Wan Qingsha pursed her lips, offering no rebuttal, and silently endured her father's scolding.
"You piece of trash! Bastard! If it weren't for you, how could the Wan family have fallen to this state today!" Wan Shixiong became angrier and angrier as he spoke, and picked up the stool next to him and threw it at Wan Qingsha.
Wan Qingsha didn't dodge, taking the blow head-on, blood immediately seeping from his forehead. He gritted his teeth, a hint of suppressed anger flashing in his eyes.
"Father, I will handle this matter," Wan Qingsha said in a low voice, her tone carrying a hint of suppressed anger.
"Deal with? What are you going to do with that?" Wan Shixiong sneered. "Who do you think you are? If I hadn't taken you in, you would have starved to death on the streets long ago!"
Wan Qingsha clenched his fists tightly, his nails digging deep into his palms. He raised his head, his gaze icy as he looked at Wan Shixiong: "Father, don't forget who has been working for the Wan family all these years? Who has been helping you deal with those shady dealings?"
"You!" Wan Shixiong was speechless, his face turning even uglier.
Just then, the secretary rushed in, her face panicked: "President Wan, we just received news that it was Zhu Yahan from the Zhu family who submitted evidence to the relevant departments, which led to our investigation!"
"Zhu Yahan?" Wan Shixiong's eyes instantly turned cold. "Zhu Ziqing's sister?"
“Yes, that’s her!” the secretary nodded and said.
Wan Shixiong trembled with rage, pointing at Wan Qingsha and cursing, "Look at you! You can't even handle a woman, and she even turned around and bit you! You useless piece of trash!"
Wan Qingsha didn't say anything more, but just gave Wan Shixiong a cold look before turning and leaving the study.
He stepped out of the Wan family's gate, the night wind brushing against his cheeks, the wound on his forehead still throbbing faintly. A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes as he murmured, "Zhu Yahan, if you dare to touch the Wan family, don't blame me for being ruthless."
Wan Qingsha clenched his fists, already plotting his revenge. He would no longer tolerate it, nor would he care about so-called family ties. Now, besides Zhu Ziqing, the person he most wanted to take revenge on was Zhu Yahan.
"Zhu Yahan, you just wait." Wan Qingsha sneered, her figure gradually disappearing into the night.
