Chapter 8 Who are you going to teach a lesson to?
"How about it?"
Meeting Jiang Liwu's bright and clear gaze, Wei Xifeng nodded repeatedly to express his approval of the milk tea.
Suddenly, two plump and bouncy crystal balls slid into his mouth. He gripped the milk tea cup in his large hand and stared straight at them, a strange light unconsciously emanating from Wei Xifeng's eyes.
Jiang Liwu laughed and said, "Your drink has been spiked."
Wei Xifeng chewed and swallowed the crystal ball, then replied earnestly, "It's delicious and refreshing." He wanted to experience all the things his teacher liked, again and again.
Suddenly, a family of three entered his field of vision, and Wei Xifeng's gaze was involuntarily drawn to them.
A father, a mother, and a six-year-old boy are holding hands, their faces beaming with happiness.
The little boy's eyes lit up when he saw someone selling candied hawthorns by the street. "Mom and Dad, I want to eat candied hawthorns, can you buy me one?"
The boy's father immediately responded indulgently, "Okay."
At the same time, the boy's mother pointed out the drawbacks: "Children are prone to stomach upset from eating candied hawthorns, and they are also very prone to tooth decay."
Upon hearing his partner say this, the boy's father immediately retracted his previous statement and righteously echoed, "No."
"Ah..." The little boy frowned, puffed out his cheeks, and looked extremely disappointed.
The boy's mother patted his head and said, "But it's okay for the little guy to have it occasionally."
Upon hearing this, the little boy was instantly energized and jumped up excitedly. "Mommy, can I eat candied hawthorn now? Thank you, Mommy! I love you so much!" With that, the little boy gave his mother a big kiss on the cheek.
Upon seeing this, the boy's father quickly tried to get his attention, asking, "Does he only love his mother and not his father?"
The little boy gave him a kiss too, saying, "I love Daddy too, but I love Mommy the most." The little boy smiled obsequiously at his mother, because he knew that she was the one in charge and had the right to speak in this family.
"Oh, you little rascal," the boy's father chuckled, agreeing with his son's words. He walked towards the candied hawthorn stall and asked, "Which flavor do you want?"
The little boy happily chased after him, running and jumping, "I want the green grape flavor!"
This kind of loving family warmth was something Wei Xifeng had never experienced before.
Let alone kissing their parents, even a hug is a luxury.
He stared intently at the little boy, stung by the boy's happiness, and a feeling of jealousy mixed with longing and envy welled up in his heart.
Perhaps his gaze was too intense, for the little boy noticed him.
The two, one big and one small, met each other's eyes.
The little boy tilted his head and innocently licked the candied hawthorn in his hand.
Wei Xifeng narrowed his eyes dangerously, then put the straw in his mouth and drank his milk tea.
The little boy took a big bite of a grape and started crunching it down.
Suddenly, as if they were competing, Wei Xifeng began to inhale rapidly, his large Adam's apple bobbing as he finished a cup of milk tea in no time.
The little boy stared in disbelief, nearly dropping the grapes he had chewed.
Wei Xifeng looked somewhat arrogant because of his "victory".
What's so great about candied hawthorns bought by parents? He also gets milk tea bought by his teacher.
Moreover, in his heart, his teacher had long been like a mother to him...
"Want some candied hawthorn? How about the strawberry flavor?" Jiang Liwu asked, having already noticed the colorful candied hawthorn fruits over there.
Wei Xifeng nodded, "Okay." He looked at the little boy, and this time a slight smile appeared on his lips.
Now he has not only milk tea but also candied hawthorns.
The little boy looked at the big, red strawberries, which were even heart-shaped, and when he looked down at the candied hawthorn in his hand, he suddenly felt that it didn't taste so sweet anymore.
Jiang Liwu took two skewers of candied strawberries and scanned the QR code on her phone, her attention focused on the payment.
Suddenly, the candied hawthorn in her left hand was snatched away. Jiang Liwu was stunned. It's not the apocalypse, why would someone steal a candied hawthorn?
Another gust of wind struck, this time aimed at the milk tea in her hand. Realizing that the other person was targeting her, Jiang Liwu took a few steps back to create some distance and get a clear look at the person.
She was a woman with large, elaborate tattoos, an unconventional style of dress, and extremely dramatic and flamboyant makeup.
He glared at her fiercely, displaying an overbearing and domineering attitude.
She rushed forward like a madwoman, her hair rainbow-colored, and her ferocious appearance as she pounced on him resembled a giant, multicolored female cockroach that had come to life, which was quite frightening.
Fortunately, Jiang Liwu had experienced the apocalypse and seen all kinds of monsters, so she remained very calm.
She dodged several times, but seeing that the other person wouldn't give up until they got what they wanted, she simply opened the lid and splashed a cup of milk tea all over their face.
The milk tea was iced, and Song Jinwei shivered and screamed, especially when the ice cubes hit her face and forehead, causing pain. Looking at her disheveled appearance, with the milk tea dripping down her face, Song Jinwei was even more distraught. She stomped her feet hard, yelling, "Ah, you bitch, how dare you splash me!" She frantically wiped the milk tea off her face, her eyes blazing with anger.
Her heavy smoky makeup was now smudged by the milk tea, and the full-coverage black eyeliner now left two ink-like marks on her face. One of her false eyelashes was crooked, and another had fallen off and was sticky on her face.
"Your goal was to ruin this milk tea, wasn't it? I just did what you wanted." Jiang Liwu accurately tossed the empty milk tea cup into a trash can a few meters away.
"You!!" Song Jinwei was provoked and wanted to bar her teeth and claws at Jiang Liwu again, but was stopped by Fu Qinian who caught up.
Seeing Fu Qinian, Song Jinwei felt like she had found her pillar of support. "Brother Qinian, this bad woman bullied me. Look what she's done to me. You must help me teach her a lesson."
"Who do you want to teach a lesson to?" Wei Xifeng stepped out from behind Jiang Liwu. Even though it was broad daylight, his figure seemed unusually imposing and profound, like a terrifying beast crawling out of hell. His eyes were cold and sinister, making people tremble with fear.
Song Jinwei unconsciously shrank back, but still stubbornly said, "Whoever becomes a mistress or a substitute to steal someone else's man will be taught a lesson."
"Song Jinwei, who are you calling the mistress and who's the substitute?" Wei Xifeng's face grew even more gloomy and terrifying.
Seeing that it was someone Wei Xifeng knew, Jiang Liwu became more attentive.
Fu Qinian sensed the oppressive atmosphere in the air and immediately spoke to ease the tension, "Master Wei, there must be some misunderstanding. Weiwei, don't be silly." Turning his head, Fu Qinian stopped Song Jinwei's provocation.
Song Jinwei was somewhat dissatisfied that Fu Qinian wasn't on her side. She had always been spoiled and arrogant, and was the only one who could act domineeringly. Although she was somewhat afraid of Wei Xifeng, she still braced herself and spoke defiantly, "Did I say something wrong? Isn't this woman the substitute you found? Is it just a coincidence that she looks a bit like Yi Ran?"
