Chapter 91 Leaving the Prison
Chapter 91 Leaving the Prison
"How...how could he be dead?!" The middle-aged man's eyes widened. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating.
He clearly saw the three guardians rush to the exit, then a barely perceptible red light flashed, and their heads fell to the ground.
Even Rubia and the other two women were somewhat incredulous, unable to figure out what was going on, so they turned their attention to Lucifer, who was the only one present who might take action.
However, this idea was quickly dismissed as soon as it took root in his mind. Lucifer had clearly been standing still without moving an inch, so it was impossible for him to have killed the three guardians.
This raises a question: could it be that the three protectors had a change of heart and took their own lives? Who would believe that? They're not three-year-olds; there's no way to explain it.
“Guardian deity, do you know what’s going on?” Lilith stared at Lucifer, blinking her big, watery eyes, and took it upon herself to make Lucifer her guardian deity.
"Yeah! Could it really be you who did it?" Rubia stared at Lucifer with curiosity, hoping for a satisfactory answer from him.
Staring intently at by three pairs of eyes, Lucifer felt strange and uneasy, as if he were being watched by three wolves. However, to be fair, the three of them were indeed wolves, only in human form at this moment. The thought of their true forms sent chills down his spine.
Imagine being surrounded by a pack of wolves; the thought alone is terrifying.
However, Lucifer was going to disappoint the three of them in the end. He had no intention of explaining himself. He planned to hide Chris as a trump card so that she could play an important role at a crucial moment.
"This is a secret for now. Now is not the time to talk about this. There has been quite a commotion here, and we will be discovered soon. Let's leave first!" Lucifer said casually.
“Alright! Rubia, the key to my chains is with the Third Guardian. Go find it and let’s leave as soon as possible. It’ll be troublesome if that guy finds out.” Seeing that Lucifer was unwilling to explain, the middle-aged man didn’t press further and smoothed things over for Lucifer.
"No, I don't want to look for the key on that disgusting corpse." Rubia looked disgusted and was very unwilling. After all, she was a girl and she just couldn't bring herself to do it. She then turned her gaze to Lilith beside her.
"Don't look at me, go by yourself." Lilith quickly averted her gaze, pretending not to see.
"If you don't want to, then forget it. I'll just cut it off." Lucifer shook his head helplessly. Girls are just so pretentious, especially flowers like them who have grown up in a greenhouse.
"The chains on my body are no ordinary objects; they are made of Vajra Black Iron, and it would be very difficult to cut them." The middle-aged man shook his head.
Vajra Iron is formed from volcanoes and is extremely rare. Only a few strands can be obtained from the vicinity of a volcano during each eruption.
Each volcanic eruption produces at most about ten kilograms of Vajra Iron, no more than that, and a few more if you're lucky.
The chains on his body were made of this rare Vajra Black Iron, a time-consuming and laborious process. The hardness of Vajra Black Iron is undeniable; even a level 40 being could not break free from it.
It is probably one of the hardest raw stones in the world. It is extremely useful for forging excellent weapons. The weapons made from it are very sharp, capable of cutting hair in two, slicing iron like mud, and splitting mountains and rocks with ease, without lifting a finger.
Lucifer smiled slightly and didn't say much. He was very confident in the purple blade in his hand. Chris's standards were certainly not low. The materials used to forge the purple blade were definitely several levels higher than those of Vajra Black Iron.
Without another word, he raised his purple blade and swung it several times at the chains binding the middle-aged man. The sword flashed, and the seemingly indestructible chains were cut as easily as cutting tofu, scattering on the ground.
The middle-aged man was shocked once again, staring incredulously at the beautiful longsword in Lucifer's hand. He thought to himself that this must be an unparalleled sword, otherwise, how could it have so easily cut through the chains made of Vajra Black Iron?
This chain was a treasure, and now that it's been destroyed, it's heartbreaking and my heart is bleeding!
He spent countless hours collecting and crafting these chains, all for the purpose of imprisoning powerful magical beasts.
However, he never expected that it would be used on him, causing him endless torment. He immediately felt that it was good that it was destroyed. Even if it was a pity, it could still be recycled. But he would never make it into chains again. He didn't want to suffer any more losses.
Of those present, probably only Rubia knew the sharpness of the Purple Blade. You see, the spear she used before was made of Vajra Black Iron, and it was still cut in half by Lucifer's sword. Even now, she still feels a little heartache and thinks to herself that she must swindle some good things from Lucifer in the future as compensation for damaging her weapon.
"Alright, let's hurry up and get out of here first, lest we be stuck here." Lucifer urged. He hadn't forgotten the boulder above the cave entrance. If they alerted the people outside and sealed the entrance, they would truly be trapped with nowhere to go, not even a place to cry.
"Where are we going? We can't possibly hide at Mother's place, can we?" Rubia said, supporting the middle-aged man. That was one of the places where the Wolf King appeared most frequently. Going there would be like walking into a trap and courting death.
"Hide? Doesn't that mean escape?" The middle-aged man asked, somewhat puzzled.
"I'll explain that to you later. Right now, the key is where to hide." Rubia hesitated for a moment; now was not the time to explain.
“Let’s go to my room!” Lilith suddenly said. Her room was a separate attic where she lived alone. Almost no one went there. Most importantly, she had a secret room, which Rubia was the second person to know. It was the best hiding place.
“Okay! Please.” Rubia looked at Lilith gratefully.
"Why are you being so polite? We're cousins, how could I let you get into danger? Come with me." Lilith winked playfully, secretly glancing at Lucifer, before leading the way.
The four then carefully left the prison.
