Chapter 21 Understanding and Trust
Chapter 21 Understanding and Trust
After listening to Li Yuan and the kindergarten principal's explanation, the parents agreed to let Teacher Fu teach the children. However, some parents were still worried, so the kindergarten principal decided to let Teacher Fu give a public lecture to the children and parents.
That morning, the sunlight seemed to be sprinkled into every corner of the kindergarten by playful little elves, bright and cheerful. Li Yuan led her daughter, Li Shiqing, who was like a little sun, towards the classroom, chatting and laughing all the way. Li Shiqing had two little braids, and she skipped and hopped along, the braids fluttering behind her head like two joyful butterflies.
"Mom, will Teacher Fu really be able to give a good lesson today? Those uncles and aunts don't seem to believe him much." Li Shiqing blinked her big eyes, her face full of curiosity.
Li Yuan smiled and pinched her daughter's nose. "Sweetie, Teacher Fu is amazing. It's just that no one has realized it yet. Today, we're going to show them just how great Teacher Fu is."
The classroom was already filled with parents, some with furrowed brows, others talking in hushed tones, creating a slightly tense atmosphere.
Teacher Fu, who was in charge of psychology, stood on the podium, looking a little uneasy, like a child who had done something wrong and was waiting for adult judgment. He kept adjusting his clothes and clearing his throat, trying to calm himself down.
The kindergarten principal stood to the side, a kind smile on her face, but a hint of worry in her eyes. After all, the parents' objections to Teacher Fu's teaching had been relentless, like waves that almost "drowned" the poor teacher.
Li Yuan pulled Li Shiqing to a seat, then stood up, clapped her hands, and said loudly, "Good morning, parents! We're here today to see Teacher Fu teach the children. I know you all had some doubts before, but I think we should give her a chance, shouldn't we?"
One parent, who looked very serious, snorted, "Opportunity? We can't let him corrupt our child. This psychology class is no joke."
Li Yuan walked over with a smile, "Brother Zhang, you're exaggerating a bit. Teacher Fu is a professional; we can't dismiss him based on just our feelings. You see, it's like running your business; if no one believes in you, how uncomfortable would you be?"
Brother Zhang was stunned for a moment, then scratched his head. "This...this can't be the same, can it? This is about the children's growth."
“It’s precisely because it concerns the children’s growth that we need to be even more careful. Teacher Fu’s class might bring unexpected benefits to the children. Let’s take a look, shall we?” Li Yuan blinked, her face full of sincerity.
The other parents began to whisper among themselves, and a few nodded slightly. Teacher Fu watched this scene from the podium, a hint of gratitude flashing in her eyes.
At this moment, Li Shiqing raised her little hand and said in a childish voice, "Uncles and aunts, Teacher Fu is so nice. He played games with us last time and taught us a lot of fun things."
The parents were amused by Li Shiqing's adorable appearance, and the atmosphere eased a bit.
Teacher Fu took a deep breath and began his lecture. "Dear parents and children, today we're going to talk about how to protect and take care of yourselves. You see, we're like little warriors. There are many little monsters in life that will come to cause trouble, and we need to be able to defeat them."
As he spoke, he imitated the little monster, gesturing wildly as he walked back and forth on the stage. The children were immediately captivated and burst into laughter.
The parents also looked surprised, not expecting that Teacher Fu had such an interesting side.
One parent muttered quietly, "This is quite interesting; it's not quite what I imagined."
Li Yuan said with a smile, "See? I told you Teacher Fu was quite capable."
Teacher Fu continued, "For example, what would you do if a stranger tried to pull you away?"
A little boy stood up and shouted, "I'll scream for help!"
Teacher Fu nodded. "That's right, shouting for help is a good way. But we also need to learn to run, run to a crowded place, and find a policeman or security guard. Just like in a game, we need to run to the safe zone."
He then began to demonstrate, pretending to be a stranger and pulling at a child. The child, following his instructions, broke free and ran towards "a crowded place" (towards the other children). The parents watched with great interest, nodding from time to time.
At this point, another parent raised a question: "Teacher Fu, is it enough to just teach these practical methods? What about psychological aspects?"
Teacher Fu smiled and replied, "That's psychological. When children know how to deal with danger, they feel safe, which is a form of psychological protection. Furthermore, we also need to teach children how to cope with setbacks. For example, what would you do if you couldn't build a good tower with blocks?"
The children raised their hands one after another, some saying they would rebuild it, others saying they would ask their friends for help.
Teacher Fu said, "That's right, these are all good methods. We can't cry every time we encounter difficulties. We should be like brave little superheroes and solve problems. This is a way to take care of ourselves and our emotions."
As the lecture progressed, more and more parents began to approve of Teacher Fu. Even Ms. Wang, one of the parents who had previously been the most vehemently opposed, smiled with satisfaction. "Teacher Fu, your class is really good. We misunderstood you before."
Teacher Fu scratched her head. "It's alright, ma'am. You're just concerned about the children. I understand."
Li Yuan said with a smile, "Now everyone can see that Teacher Fu is truly capable. We can't just make judgments based on first impressions; we have to give him a chance to show his skills."
The parents nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes, Li Yuan is right."
After the lecture, the parents surrounded Teacher Fu, praising her one after another.
The principal breathed a sigh of relief and came over to the teacher, saying, "You did a fantastic job today. I knew you could do it."
Teacher Fu smiled sheepishly, "It's all thanks to Sister Li Yuan and the children. Without their support, I really wouldn't have had this confidence."
Li Yuan waved her hand, "This is all thanks to you. Your classes are good, so everyone naturally recognizes it. The children are going to be very lucky in the future."
Li Shiqing held Teacher Fu's hand and said, "Teacher, let's play more games in the future!"
Teacher Fu smiled and picked her up, "Okay, little darling, we'll have lots of fun games to play in the future."
From then on, Mr. Fu's class became one of the children's favorite classes, and parents praised him highly. All of this was thanks to that warm and understanding morning, and the wonderful transformation that happened in the classroom.
Li Yuan knew in her heart that Teacher Fu was recognized by many parents in this life, and that her daughter Shi Qing would benefit from following Teacher Fu's courses.
